Transportation

Dear Parents and Students,

Welcome back!  I hope you all had a great summer and refreshed and ready to start back to school on Wednesday, August 10th.  Many of you are return riders and know all about our busing procedures. As we did last year, we have three buses picking up students in the morning and three dropping off in the afternoon at our town locations.  Fridays are minimum days leaving the school at approximately 1:45 pm.

Starting Wednesday, August 10th, we will be picking up students for school at the Save Mart/Taco Bell Bus Transit stop on the corner of Schulte Rd. and Tracy Blvd—this stop is directly in front of Taco Bell. We also have a Bus stop at the Tracy Library on Holly Dr.—located at Transit stop.

  • Please be outside (weather permitting) waiting at the bus stop 10 minutes prior to pick up in the morning.
  • In the afternoon please be ready to pick your child up at the stop 10 minutes before scheduled drop off.
  • Please note that you should be riding the same bus as last year, unless there has been changes to your address and you need to change routes—or you’ve change schools (moved from New J. to Delta Charter or vice versa).

The City of Tracy has graciously allowed us to use their bus stop, but we can’t abuse the situation by parking our bus at the transit stop while the driver waits for parents.  Have your students lined up at the bus stop and ready to go promptly in the morning. This will help the driver to load and leave on time.

This applies in the afternoon as well.  If your student is in Kindergarten, a parent, guardian or someone on your emergency card must meet him/her at the bus stop.  If the driver cannot visibly identify the person picking up the student, the student will be safely returned to the school and the parent/guardian will have to come and pick them up.  First through third grade students will only be dropped off—with parent permission—if accompanied by an older sibling (4th grade and up); if no one is there to pick them up, they will be returned to school.  All other students in the 4th grade and up may be dropped off unaccompanied.

Please note that if a parent misses picking up a young child on multiple occasions, bus privileges may be revoked.

When dropping off or picking up students IT IS AGAINST THE LAW TO PULL IN FRONT OF OR BEHIND A SCHOOL BUS.  If this happens, we will not pick up your student and bus privileges may be revoked.

If you miss your child’s bus, please call the school office at 835-2597 or 830-6363 and inform them to arrange pick up.  If there are any changes to the routes we will notify you.
