Delta Home

Welcome Back!

My name is Kellyann Reis.  I am the new Principal of Delta Home Charter School.  I attended New Jerusalem Elementary School as a child and returned, as a teacher, 21 years ago.  I have taught Kindergarten for 13 years and then moved up to Junior High where I focused on teaching Language arts and Science.  I was then given the opportunity to start up our, now thriving, DVL program.  I have been teaching and coaching in the DVL program for the past 4 years and have recently decided to change courses and move to Delta Home School.  I earned my administrative credential through Stanislaus State University and look forward to working with the families already established in Delta Home and those of you who may be new to our program.

My secretary, Tracy Thomsen, and I have been doing a lot of work this summer to prepare for a fabulous school year.  Many changes have been made in hopes to better serve our families.  We will be offering a variety of enrichment courses on our Durham Ferry site.  We are also working with The Grande Theatre in Tracy as well as Starlight Studios where students can take one class per semester for reimbursement once the course is completed.  Due to budget, spots may be limited.

We have also gained a new on-line curriculum called Fuel Ed.  This curriculum has many book and manipulative components to it depending on grade level.  All materials are shipped to your door for convenience.  Here is a link if you would like to get a little insight to the program.

Home school students are welcome to join the Delta K-8 students during their recesses and lunch times. Any day of the school week.

K-4 Recess @ 9:45-10:00           K-4 Lunch @ 11:10-11:50

5-8 Recess @ 10:16-10:28          5-8 Lunch @ 11:36-12:16

Sports will be available to all Home School students.  Fall sports include co-ed volleyball and co-ed soccer.  If you are interested, please let your E.C. know and look for sign-ups in the office beginning Aug. 3rd
