Delta Home became the first public K-8 school between Sacramento and Fresno, including the Mother Lode counties, to achieve the status.

"I am so excited," said Reis, a long-time educator with the New Jerusalem Elementary School district, Delta Home's authorizer. "It really was a team effort. We all worked so hard to get Delta Home where it needs to be in order to best serve families."

The accreditation acknowledges that Delta Home Charter School met a variety of quality standards, as determined by WASC and confirmed by a WASC visiting committee earlier this year.

"this is just another example of how we assure our families that we are providing quality educational programs for their kids," said David Thoming, NJESD Superintendent, "Kellyann and her team have done an outstanding job with that school as confirmed by WASC."

Delta Home Charter School, one of nine schools in the Delta Charter Schools family, was created just two years ago. It delivers a hybrid program to meet the needs of families who desire to home school their children but still receive instructional services from credentialed educators in a formal school setting.
