Greetings Delta Bridges Families,
Can you believe the 20/21 school year has come to a close? I’d like to thank all of our amazing families for your support, understanding, and patience as we navigated what has to be the most unusual year in education in the last century. I’m writing this letter to inform you of what the 21/22 school year will look like so that you may begin your planning now.
First, I’m excited to announce that Delta Bridges will be returning to a traditional five day per week schedule with students on campus for a full day. Our campus will open daily at 7:45 am for breakfast and then instruction will start daily at 8:25 am. Students should be on campus no later than 8:15 am as will line up, recite the pledge of allegiance, and listen to morning announcements before heading off to class. Dismissal time will be 2:55 pm for all grade levels. Wednesday’s will be our early release day and we will dismiss at 1:35 pm.
Second, I’m thrilled to announce that Delta Bridges has been awarded a grant from the state of California to fund our after school program. With that being said, Delta Bridges will offer after school care daily from time of dismissal until 6 pm.
Finally, I would like to inform you that Delta Bridges will return to requiring students to wear uniforms. The uniform should be khaki bottoms (pants, shorts, skirt, or dress) and a green or white polo shirt. If you are unable to afford uniforms please contact the office and we can assist you with resources.
Attached with this notification is the NJESD Board approved academic calendar for the 21/22 school year. Please note the 1st day of school is Wednesday, August 11, 2021. I hope you all have an amazing summer, have a chance to unwind and I will see you back on campus next year. In mid-July I will send out another letter with all the information you will need to start the year.
Again, I’d like to thank all of you for your support and welcoming me into the Delta Bridges family. I have enjoyed my 1st year at Bridges tremendously and I look forward to an amazing 2nd year at Bridges.
